Sasaki is an office worker who gets tired of his stressful job and visits a nearby convenience store, where a friendly cashier, Yamada, always lights up his day with her smile.
One evening after a hard day in the office, Sasaki arrives too late to the store and comes to know that Yamada has already completed her shift. While looking for a place to smoke, he met an independent woman, Tayama. She quickly became friends with Sasaki and Yamada. She teases Sasaki about always coming to see Yamada and even jokes about telling Yamada how much he likes her. As time passes, Sasaki starts to like her company, and now he not just visits the store to see Yamada but also to spend time with Tayama while Tayama hides secrets about her life.
